Herian: The Story of a Hand-Made Eyewear Brand
This story begins at the heart of optical tradition, a passion passed down through generations within my family. I am Herian Boccali, and my life has been shaped by the fascinating world of eyewear. Since I was a child, I breathed the air of my mother’s optical shop, immersed in lenses and frames, watching with admiration the work dedicated to customer satisfaction. After a period of working in our family business, I decided to embark on a new path, seeking further work experience in various optical centers and refining my technical and manual skills.

The Vision
In 2016, an idea began to take shape in my mind: creating custom eyewear for every client, in a pure sartorial style. The inspiration sparked from a video showing the production process of glasses in factories. I observed the pattern maker, with his artistic touch, creating prototypes that were personalized before being put into production. That vision pushed me to consider every individual as unique, deserving of personalized eyewear; thus, I began my journey to realize this vision.
It took quite some time to face production challenges, solve technical problems, and define every detail. By taking a frame design course, I found clarity on the road ahead: making glasses by hand for every client, creating unique and unrepeatable pieces.
The Craftsmanship
Every Herian frame is the result of a meticulous and passionate artisanal process. We use only the highest quality materials that I have selected over the years, forging excellent relationships with suppliers. We adopt refined techniques to ensure precision in every detail. Every curve, every finish, and every detail is crafted with care and attention, because we know that glasses are not just accessories, but an integral part of the wearer's identity.
The Workshop Experience
Today, we are happy to announce the opening of our shop-workshop (bottega), a place where you can immerse yourself in our world and discover how I work.
