Montblanc captures the mesmerising moment of sunset in the latest interpretations of the Meisterstück.
In 2015, Montblanc expressed the atmospheric hues of twilight in the Meisterstück Blue Hour writing instrument collection. This year, the Maison turns the clock back to the hour just before twilight: the golden hour, during which the sun sets over the city’s skyline and the horizon becomes illuminated in a brilliant palette of red. This magical time of day is captured in two iteration’s of Montblanc’s iconic Meisterstück: the Meisterstück Golden Hour Solitaire and the Meisterstück Burgundy Red collection, both bringing to life the rich, dreamlike hues of the setting sun.
Meisterstück Golden Hour Solitaire
The metal cap and barrel of the Meisterstück Golden Hour Solitaire feature an engraved hexagon pattern covered by translucent burgundy red lacquer and finished with signature gold-coated fittings. The result embodies the hypnotic effect the golden hour creates in cities, mirroring the subtle refractions of warm light produced by busy evening traffic and towering skyscrapers. This hexagon pattern also decorates the fountain pen’s handcrafted solid Au 750 gold nib, completed with a signature gold coating. On the cap top, the Montblanc emblem in precious resin crowns the writing instrument.
The Meisterstück Golden Hour Solitaire is available in the LeGrand size as a fountain pen, rollerball and ballpoint.
Meisterstück Burgundy Red
The hues of the golden hour are also captured in the Meisterstück Burgundy Red collection, which presents the timeless Meisterstück form in a deep burgundy-coloured precious resin. The new colourway is available as a fountain pen featuring a handcrafted, bi-colour solid Au 585 gold nib, rollerball and ballpoint in a variety of sizes.
