Andrew Lloyd Webber’s acclaimed musical Sunset Boulevard is set to make its Philippine premiere in Manila in 2027, bringing the celebrated stage production to local theatergoers for a strictly limited engagement.
The production will run from August 18 to September 12, 2027, at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium at RCBC Plaza in Makati City. It is produced by arrangement with LW Entertainment Ltd.
Featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sunset Boulevard is based on the 1950 film of the same name. The story follows Norma Desmond, a former silent-film star who dreams of returning to the screen, and Joe Gillis, a struggling screenwriter who becomes entangled in her world of faded Hollywood glamour, ambition, and obsession.
The musical is known for its dramatic score and exploration of fame, aging, and the unforgiving nature of the entertainment industry.
