BAGUIO CITY — One of Baguio’s most beloved attractions is ready to welcome visitors back to the water.

The famous Burnham Lake officially reopened to boaters on Tuesday, September 1, following nearly a year of renovations. The reopening came just in time for Baguio City’s 117th Charter Anniversary, giving locals and tourists another reason to revisit the iconic destination.

After months of work, the century-old lake is once again filled with the familiar sight of colorful boats carrying visitors across its waters.

Boat concessionaires have also been directed to follow the previous boat rental rate of ₱250 for 30 minutes, allowing visitors to enjoy the classic Burnham Lake experience at its previous rate.

The renovation was aimed at improving the lake and its surrounding facilities while preserving the charm that has made Burnham Lake a longtime favorite among visitors to the City of Pines.

For generations, boating at Burnham Lake has been part of the classic Baguio experience. Families, friends, and tourists often visit the area for a leisurely boat ride, scenic views, and a relaxing break from the city's cool mountain weather.

Now that boating activities have resumed, visitors can once again enjoy one of the city's most recognizable recreational spots.

While some features have been refreshed following the renovations, the familiar experience of taking a boat ride around the lake remains.

With Burnham Lake officially back in action, both longtime visitors and first-time tourists can once again add a boat ride to their Baguio itinerary.

So, if you're planning your next trip to the City of Pines, it might be time to bring back one of Baguio's classic activities — a relaxing boat ride at Burnham Lake.
