9 Philippine Hotels Earn MICHELIN Keys in 2026, Including the Country’s First Two-Key Properties
MANILA, Philippines — Nine hotels and resorts across the Philippines have earned MICHELIN Key distinctions in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide hotel selection, with two properties making history as the country’s first Two MICHELIN Key hotels.
El Nido Resorts Lagen Island in Palawan and Raffles Makati received Two MICHELIN Keys, recognizing them for an exceptional stay. Raffles Makati was promoted from One Key, while Lagen Island entered the selection directly with Two Keys.
Meanwhile, four properties received their first One MICHELIN Key: NUSTAR Hotel Cebu, El Nido Resorts Pangulasian Island, Hotel Okura Manila at Newport World Resorts, and Manami Resort in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
Three properties also retained their One-Key distinction from the 2025 selection: Nay Palad Hideaway Siargao, Fairmont Makati, and Amanpulo.
A Two-Key Selection on the Archipelago

The MICHELIN Key is the hotel counterpart to the MICHELIN Star, recognizing properties that stand out for their overall hospitality experience. Inspectors assess hotels based on factors including architecture and design, service quality, individuality, value for money, and their connection to the destination.
One Key represents a “very special stay,” Two Keys an “exceptional stay,” and Three Keys an “extraordinary stay.”
The 2026 selection expands the Philippines’ presence from five recognized properties in 2025 to nine this year, highlighting the growing range of hotels and resorts being recognized for distinctive hospitality experiences across the country.
