Qualified commuters can enjoy free rides on the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) through GCash from October 20 to 23, 2026, under a limited-time promotion aimed at helping passengers save on their daily travel expenses.
The Department of Transportation’s MRT-3 announced that the promo covers eligible passengers using any of the following GCash payment services: GCash Commute QR, GCash Tap to Pay, and GCash Card.
To avail of the offer, passengers must scan or tap their eligible GCash payment method at the turnstile when entering the station and ensure that their GCash account has at least ₱14 in balance.
Upon reaching their destination, commuters must scan or tap the same payment method again at the exit turnstile. Under the promotion, the total fare charged for the trip should be ₱0.
Passengers are also advised to check their GCash transaction history after completing their journey to verify that no fare was deducted and that the ₱14 holding amount remains in their e-wallet balance.
The free-ride promotion runs until October 23, 2026, giving eligible GCash users a limited window to take advantage of the offer when traveling along the MRT-3 line.
Commuters are encouraged to prepare their eligible GCash payment method and follow the required entry and exit procedures to ensure a smooth transaction.
