PAL TO LAUNCH NONSTOP MANILA–DELHI, MANILA–MUMBAI FLIGHTS IN DECEMBER

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to launch nonstop flights from Manila to Delhi and Mumbai in December 2026, expanding the flag carrier’s network to two of India’s major cultural and commercial centers.

The new routes, which remain subject to approval from the Indian government, are expected to strengthen air connectivity between the Philippines and India while supporting growing travel and business ties between the two countries.

“Opening services to Delhi and Mumbai strengthens PAL's network in one of Asia's most dynamic economies,” said PAL President Richard Nuttall. “These routes will create new opportunities for Filipinos to explore India while supporting the growing movement of travelers, businesses and goods between our two countries.”

PAL will operate both routes using its 168-seat Airbus A321neo aircraft, featuring 12 lie-flat Business Class seats and 156 Economy Class seats.

The Manila–Delhi route, PR642, will operate three times a week every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Flights will depart Manila at 10:40 p.m. and arrive in Delhi at 3 a.m. the following day. Return flights, PR643, will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Meanwhile, Manila–Mumbai service PR646 will operate four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Flights will depart Manila at 10:40 p.m. and arrive in Mumbai at 3:05 a.m. the following day. Return flights, PR647, will operate every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Beyond passenger travel, the new nonstop routes are also expected to expand PAL’s international cargo network, providing a more direct link for trade and the movement of goods between the Philippines and India.

The new services will also give Filipino travelers more direct access to India for leisure, business, and cultural trips. Philippine passport holders may also take advantage of India’s e-Visa program when planning their visit.
