NOKIA 2360 FLIP ARRIVES IN THE PHILIPPINES FOR ₱2,790 WITH FAMILY SAFETY FEATURES

The classic flip phone gets a modern update with an emergency SOS button, parental controls, and remote family assistance.

Remember the days when answering a call meant flipping open your phone? HMD is bringing back the familiar experience with the launch of the Nokia 2360 Flip in the Philippines, combining its classic clamshell design with modern safety and convenience features.

Priced at ₱2,790, the feature phone is designed for senior citizens, schoolchildren, and users who prefer a simpler way to stay connected without the distractions of a smartphone.

One of its standout features is Family Assist, which allows designated family members to remotely manage selected phone settings through a companion app. Users can add contacts, adjust volume levels, set daily reminders, and configure emergency settings without needing to handle the device themselves.

The feature works through SMS commands, meaning the Nokia 2360 Flip does not require a mobile data plan for remote management. The Family Assist app is available for Android and iOS devices.

For added security, the phone comes with a dedicated SOS button. When activated, it automatically calls a preset primary emergency contact and sends text alerts to up to five designated numbers, helping users reach their loved ones during emergencies.

Parents also have access to built-in parental controls protected by a Family PIN. These include School Mode, which limits phone functions to the clock and emergency calls, contact restrictions that allow communication only with approved numbers, and options to block selected applications.

CLASSIC DESIGN WITH PRACTICAL FEATURES

The Nokia 2360 Flip features a 2.8-inch QVGA main display and a 1.77-inch QQVGA external screen that allows users to check basic information, including incoming caller details, without opening the phone.

It also comes with large keypad buttons, clear menu icons, and an easy-to-navigate S30+ operating system.

Other specifications include a QVGA rear camera with LED flash, 4MB RAM, 4MB internal storage, and microSD card support of up to 32GB. The device also features FM radio, a loudspeaker, a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C connectivity, and dual mini-SIM support.

Powering the phone is a removable 1,450mAh battery, which HMD rates for up to 27.5 hours of talk time and up to 15 days of standby time.

A KEY CONNECTIVITY LIMITATION

Despite its updated safety features, the Nokia 2360 Flip has one important limitation: it supports 2G GSM connectivity only (900/1800MHz) and does not offer 4G LTE or 5G connectivity.

Buyers are advised to check with their respective mobile network providers regarding 2G service availability and compatibility in their area before purchasing.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY IN THE PHILIPPINES

The Nokia 2360 Flip is now available through Nokia's official Shopee store for ₱2,790. It is listed in two color options: Burgundy and Grey.

With its familiar flip-phone design, physical keypad, emergency SOS feature, and remote family management tools, the Nokia 2360 Flip offers an alternative for families looking for a basic mobile device with added safety features.

Sometimes, staying connected does not require a smartphone. For some users, a simpler phone may be all they need.
